Concentration in Dance: Drama Minor | Drama Major

Minor in Drama - Concentration in Dance

For students wishing to minor in Drama with a concentration in Dance, the following core requirements must be met and an individual program of study shaped in consultation with the Minors Advisor in Dance,

a. A concentration of at least three classes chosen from a specific dance form (e.g., World, Modern, Jazz, Ballet, Social), and the attainment of intermediate or advanced level.

The Special Project classes are:

  • DANCE 190 Directed Research (Topics or projects related to the discipline of dance)
  • DANCE 191 Directed Reading (Supervision of off-campus internship)
  • DANCE 290 Independent Study (Individual project on the work of any choreographer, period, genre or dance related topic)

Drama Major - Concentration in Dance

Students who wish to Major in Drama with a concentration in Dance (24-unit core of drama classes, and 50 units of dance classes) should contact Alison Duxbury, undergraduate adviser in the Drama Department, or the Minors Advisor in Dance,

1. Drama Core – required of all majors: 22-23 units
